Industrial Pressure Testing Services
Specialized pressure testing for manufacturing facilities, process systems, and industrial operations across British Columbia.
Engineering-Grade Industrial System Testing
Industrial pressure testing requires specialized expertise to handle high-pressure process systems, hazardous material pipelines, and critical manufacturing infrastructure. Our industrial testing services provide manufacturers, plant engineers, and facility managers with precise pressure testing that meets ASME B31.3 process piping codes, CSA standards, and industry-specific regulations.
From food and beverage processing to chemical manufacturing and heavy industry, we deliver comprehensive pressure testing solutions that ensure system integrity, maintain production uptime, and provide the documentation required for regulatory compliance, insurance, and safety management systems.

Industrial Testing Standards & Codes
Our industrial pressure testing complies with ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code, CSA B51 Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, and industry-specific standards including 3-A Sanitary Standards for food processing, ASME BPE for pharmaceutical systems, and API standards for petroleum facilities. Test pressures typically range from 1.5 to 2.0 times design pressure depending on system classification and code requirements.
Pre-Test Engineering Review
Review P&IDs and isometric drawings, verify material specifications and pressure ratings, confirm proper pipe supports and stress analysis, and develop test procedures specific to system classification.
System Preparation & Isolation
Install blind flanges and test plugs, verify all instruments and equipment are isolated or rated for test pressure, install calibrated pressure monitoring equipment, and implement lockout-tagout procedures.
Controlled Pressurization
Apply pressure gradually per code requirements (typically 50 PSI increments), allow thermal stabilization, reach test pressure and hold for specified duration (minimum 10 minutes), monitor for leaks and pressure decay.
Documentation & Sign-Off
Generate detailed test reports with pressure/time charts, material certifications, welding records, NDE results, and engineer certification for regulatory authorities, insurance underwriters, and client quality systems.
Industrial Testing Benefits
- Production Continuity: Prevent unplanned shutdowns and costly production losses from system failures
- Worker Safety: Ensure systems operate safely and prevent hazardous material releases or equipment failures
- Regulatory Compliance: Meet ASME, CSA, and industry-specific code requirements for system commissioning
- Quality Assurance: Verify proper fabrication, installation, and welding quality before system activation
- Insurance Requirements: Satisfy industrial property and liability insurance conditions for process systems
- Asset Protection: Extend equipment life and prevent damage from leaks, contamination, or pressure excursions
